First let me apologize not keeping up with this blog. I know I announced that for a New Years Resolution I was going to post twice a week but that was before I got socked with a ton of catalog assignments.
It might be a couple of more weeks till things quiet down and I am able to get back on course. That being said I thought I would jot down a quick “What’s New” post.
For a a starter, on Feb 16th I was voted in as the new President of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers). David Seide, the previous President wanted to step down after holding the post for the past few years.
The next piece of news is that I have added a new page to this site. “This Day in Photography’s History” calendar will list famous dates in photography. Although I don’t have events for everyday of the year…Yet. I will be growing this as more dates are made aware to me. If you know of any special events in photography please feel free to leave them in the comments section on the page. I originally started populating this on my hotmail calendar but decided that a Google calendar would work better. Unfortunately I cannot export the dated from one and import into Google, so I am stuck having to add them in one at a time, when I have time.
Finally, I have recently bought a new Droid phone and I am loving it. So look for more photos taken with it’s 5 MP camera.
Well, that’s about it for now. I promise I will be back to a regular publishing schedule soon.
